20th April - Predict a Score.com Season 2007-08 end of season fixtures
It's that time of year again where the season draws to a close ans we can all put our predicting brains to rest for a few months. As usual I have posted the final few weeks itinery, giving you an idea of how the season will finish:
Week 39 - Sat 3rd/Sun 4th May - Final weekend of Football League predictions
Week 40 - Sat 10th/Sun 11th May - Final weekend of Premier League predictions
Week 41 - Sat 17th/Sun 18th May - FA Cup Final Prediction Special
Week 42 - Sat 24th/Sun 25th/Mon 26th - Football League Play-Off Finals Prediction Specials - END OF SEASON
So the end of the season will be after Week 42, where the final point will be added up and we will finally know who will be crowned the Predict a Score Season 2007/08 Champion! Remember to keep an eye on your League Winners Predictions as they will now becoming clearer and could be vital in deciding the final shake up of the Overall Table.
2nd March - Important News Regarding March Predictions
You should all have received an email about March's predictions. I am away at the end of March therefore there will be no predictions for Week 33 (the weekend of March 22nd and 23rd). As a result the predictions for the following week (Week 34) will be released with the site update for Week 32, giving you 2 weeks to submit your predictions for this. Details will become clearer at the time and you will be made fully aware of when the deadlines will be when the predictions are sent out.

21st November - Transfer activity in Predict a Score.com
That's right. You may have seen in the weekly report last week that contract talks were under way this week with Katy Atherton. Well I'm afraid those talks broke down at approximately lunchtime today and Katy has left the competition. However a replacement was quickly found. Chris Longhorn takes the place of Katy in the competition. Chris adds 1 more to the number of Reading fans on this website. His first task is to get himself off the foot of the table however in his press conference this afternoon Chris was "more than up for the challenge". As already stated, Chris takes over in Katys league position and also takes her pre-season league winners predictions.
6th November - Details of Prize Money for Season 2007/08
Now that all the entry fees have been received for this season I guess I should really give you all the details of how much is up for grabs this year.
There are 36 players playing this season giving us a total pot of £360.00. This will be divided as follows:
Overall Winner - £120.00
Overall Runner Up - £80.00
Overall Third Place - £50.00
Manager of the Month Awards (August through to May, 10 months in total) - £10.00 per month
Highest Weekly Score of the Season Award - £10.00
Payments will be sent out via cheque, bank transfer or given in person. If you are lucky enough to become a prize winner you will be contacted to sort out which payment method you would prefer.
20th August - Payment Reminder to those who haven't paid yet
All payments for Predict a Score.com must be in by this Friday. If you have not paid please make sure you get your payment in by this time to avoid being thrown out of the competition.

4th August - All registrations in and away we go!
36 is the final number of players this year meaning that there will be £360.00 in the prize fund once all payments are in from players. If you have not yet paid the deadline for this is Friday 24th August 2007. Please make sure your payment is in by then or you rish being thrown out of the competition.
So the predictions for Week 1 have now also been released and can be submitted on the Predictions page.
30th July 2007 - Number of players now exceeds last years total as reigning Champion prepares to defend title!
So give yourselves a pat on the back. Your recommendations have now taken the number of players up to 32. We welcome back old faces Roger Newman, Matt O'Sullivan and current reigning Champion Michael Collins. We also welcome 4 new faces to the competition. They are, in alphabetical order: Ben McBain, Cione Dennis (who returns after her World Cup 2006 appearance), Max Gallacher (who becomes the 2nd Under 16 to register after Sam Newman) and Sarah Walcuch. 24th July 2007 - Competition now reaches 25 participants
A further 7 players have signed up since the last news update, taking the number of players to 25. We have (in no particular order): Pabs Hunt, Paul Ayles, Phil Eldridge, Rafal Gibas, Andy Hewlett, Mark Smith and we welcome our 2nd newbie to the competition who is yet another Reading fan, Jon Guy who was recommended to the site by Mark Smith.
17th July 2007 - Number of players reaches 18
Eight more players have now registered for the new season. A few of the big guns returning with top 10 finishers from last season, Darren Cornell, Chris Beckett and Wayne Hunt (me). They were joined by experienced predicters Mat Baker, Matt Whiddett and Susan Newman. We also have one newbie and we welcome Katy Atherton to the competition for the new season.
13th July 2007 - Three further players join as Fantasy Football site is now released
Three further people signed up to the competition today. They are Sam Newman who hold the record as the youngest person to compete in the competition at the age of 6. Natasha Rogers who joins after a seasons break and Bob Newman.

12th July 2007 - Magnificent Seven
The first seven players have registered for Predict a Score.com. They are all previous players of the competition. We have in alphabetical order: Adam Ninnis, Chris Smith, Gareth Munson, Jill Lambirth, Paul Bowen, Paul Newman and Rhea Newman. Thanks to Rhea and Adam whose payments were received via PayPal at the same time as registering.
Welcome to Predict a Score.com season 2007/08
As you can see the website has been revamped in time for the new season. I hope you like the new layout (if you don't then there isn't alot I'm going to do about it! The site is now taking new registrations for season 2007/08. Go to the Registration pages to get yourself signed up for the new season.
The deadline for new registrations is Friday 3rd August 2007 - Midnight. The first set of predictions take place on Saturday 11th August 2007.
